We are seeking an experienced Lead Civil Engineer to take on a leadership role within our Australian Engineering business. This position is ideal for a senior professional civil engineer who is passionate about technical excellence, people leadership, and shaping the future of a high-performing civil engineering offering.

The Role

As the Lead Civil Engineer, you will provide technical stewardship of the Civil team, while playing a key role in team leadership, project delivery, client engagement, and strategic growth. You will work across a diverse portfolio of projects spanning mining, energy, utilities, industrial, and infrastructure, contributing to both day-to-day delivery and longer-term market positioning.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Providing technical leadership and governance for the Civil Engineering discipline
• Leading, mentoring, and increasing the capacity and capability of the Civil team
• Ensuring project delivery excellence, from concept through to construction
• Supporting and leading market-facing activities, including client engagement, bids, and business development
• Contributing to strategic planning and growth of the civil engineering offering
• Ensuring quality, safety, and compliance across all civil deliverables
  
  

About You

You are a senior civil engineer with a strong technical foundation and a proven ability to lead people and projects in complex environments.

You Will Bring

• 10+ years’ experience in civil engineering
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership and/or project management roles
• Strong technical capability across civil design disciplines, including:
  
  

Earthworks,

Drainage and stormwater,

Roads and pavements,

Utilities and associated infrastructure

• Experience delivering projects across sectors such as mining, energy, utilities, industrial, and infrastructure
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a market-facing mindset
• A strategic outlook, with the ability to balance technical detail and big-picture thinking
