The Position

NDY is looking for a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to help lead and grow our Perth presence. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys technical excellence, client engagement, and the chance to play a key role in building a strong local fire protection capability within a respected national business.

You’ll be joining a highly regarded, multidisciplinary building services team with the backing of experienced specialists across Australia. We’re looking for someone who brings strong technical fire protection expertise, confidence in client-facing environments, and the leadership presence to contribute to team development and business growth.

In This Role, You Will

  • Lead fire protection design, documentation, and contract administration across a range of projects.
  • Review and contribute to high-quality design deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and consistency.
  • Work closely with clients and project teams to deliver practical, coordinated solutions.
  • Support project delivery from concept through to completion, with a focus on quality, risk management, and commercial outcomes.
  • Help shape and grow our Perth fire protection capability, including mentoring others and contributing to business development opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in fire protection services design within the Australian building industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian standards.
  • Experience using fire protection design software, such as Hyena.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam and MS Office.
  • Understanding of Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks is highly regarded, but not essential.
  • Strong documentation, coordination, and design workflow experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in client and stakeholder engagement.
  • A collaborative mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to balance technical and commercial priorities.
  • A genuine interest in contributing to team growth, mentoring, and business development.
