About The Role
We are seeking a motivated Structural Engineer with to join our Brisbane team. This role is ideal for an engineer who is confident delivering projects with a level of autonomy, can lead small projects, and is competent in structural design, analysis, and documentation.
You will contribute to the successful delivery of building projects across all phases; from concept design through to construction—working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
We are seeking a motivated Structural Engineer with to join our Brisbane team. This role is ideal for an engineer who is confident delivering projects with a level of autonomy, can lead small projects, and is competent in structural design, analysis, and documentation.
You will contribute to the successful delivery of building projects across all phases; from concept design through to construction—working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Undertake structural design and analysis across a range of materials, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry, and prepare accurate design reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Contribute to the engineering delivery of small to medium projects, ensuring effective coordination across disciplines and the application of relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements, and project delivery methodologies.
- Plan and manage your workload to meet project deadlines and quality expectations, while assisting with fee proposals and project planning activities.
- Liaise confidently with internal teams, clients, architects, and contractors, building strong relationships through clear communication and responsive service.
- Attend project and site meetings as required, representing NDY with professionalism.
- Provide guidance and on the job support to graduates and junior staff, participate in technical development initiatives within the structural discipline, and seek continuous improvement opportunities within project delivery processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- 3–5 years’ experience in structural engineering design and project delivery.
- Strong skills in structural modelling and analysis software (e.g., SpaceGass, ETABS, RAPT, Strand7 or similar).
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain and visually represent technical information.
- Ability to apply well developed problem solving skills and exercise substantial initiative and judgement to work independently and meet objectives.
- Progression toward chartered status (CPEng, NER, RPEQ or equivalent) is desirable.
