Your Role
- Prepare both rough sketches and detailed work using computerized drafting tools: AutoCAD or MicroStation Exercise initiative in completing recurring assignments independently and applying judgement in determining which of many methods are applicable.
- Perform design and technical calculations, material lists, construction details, drawings and diagrams related to the project requirements alongside the engineering team.
- Develop and prepare standardized drawings and symbols for the company database.
- Design and draft PLC panels, JB drawings, Loop drawings, Control architecture drawings, Building layouts and more.
- Reviewing third-party drawings such as civil, architectural, landscape, and utilities for conflicts and information as required by the project.
- 3D modelling for lighting, panels and cable tray would be an asset.
- Ensure final designs comply with clients and/or company quality standards.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Additional duties as required.
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field an asset.
- 0-2 years of experience. New grads welcome to apply!
- Experience in an engineering consulting firm considered an asset.
- Experience in AutoCAD and/or Microstation an asset.
- Working experience in 3D design software would be considered an asset.
- Computer knowledge in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a team environment and meet deadlines.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks.
