Job Title: Sr. Product Manager

Job Summary:

This role requires a proactive leader who can adapt to our evolving needs and contribute to our company's growth and success.

This important leadership position will hold the responsibility to ensure that all human resources (HR) operations are carried out smoothly and effectively. In addition, you will be responsible for managing HR strategies, providing sound advice to executive and senior management, and planning for a dynamic and rapidly growing company. We are looking for a strategic and hands-on HR Leader to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. At MixMode, people come first, and therefore this role will be tasked with creating and managing various projects and processes in support of recruiting, developing, and retaining our people. This role will be equal parts team builder, business executor, manager, administrator, and company leader. So be prepared to roll up your sleeves and dive into a fast-paced team-focused culture.

Responsibilities:

  • HR Strategy, Leadership and Execution:

o Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.

o Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on all HR-related matters.

o Establish policies, processes and communications enforcing and promoting company culture, values and vision.

o Oversee the day-to-day HR activities of the company, including recruitment, benefits, employee development and compliance.

  • Talent Acquisition:

o Develop and oversee the recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding, ensuring a positive candidate experience.

o Develop and maintain a talent pipeline to support the company's growth.

  • Employee Relations:

o Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

o Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and effective manner.

o Implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace satisfaction.

o Manage operational services through the HRIS as lifecycle events occur, e.g., new hires, transfers, terminations, promotions, leaves of absence, etc..

  • Performance Management:

o Design and implement performance appraisal systems.

o Provide guidance and support to managers on performance management and employee development.

  • Compensation & Benefits Management:

o Oversee the payroll process to ensure accurate and timely compensation.

o Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll regulations and laws.

o Perform market analysis on compensation packages and manage the implementation of adjustments.

o Management of the annual open enrollment process.

  • HR Policies and Compliance:

o Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.

o Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

  • Training and Development:

o Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.

o Promote a culture of continuous learning and development.

  • Other Responsibilities as needed by a rapid growth, fast-paced organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline (HR certification is beneficial) and minimum of four years of progressive Human Resource experience overseeing or touching all aspects of HR.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and payroll management.
  • Proven leadership experience; start-up or rapid growth company experience preferred.
  • Strong business acumen, interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience developing high performing, diverse, and sustainable internal and external talent pipeline as well as assessing, hiring, developing, and coaching talent is required.
  • Experience with HRIS software required; experience with implementing software is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, HR software and payroll systems (Greenhouse, Gusto, Empower, and Clarity platform experience helpful).
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment law including HR technical knowledge of EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA, unemployment, and workers compensation, investigation processes, compensation practices, and benefit programs.

Pursuant to California law, we must display the pay range for this job. Since we are willing to hire within a broad spectrum of qualifications, we also reflect a broad pay range. The base salary range that we are targeting for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 per year, though we can adjust based on individual qualifications. Individual salary is determined by qualifications, role, level, and location.
