Drives end-to-end demand and supply planning for the company's server systems and rack-level product lines. Serves as the central point of accountability for forecast accuracy, supply–demand balancing, material liability, and L10–L12 operational readiness, partnering across Sales, Product, Operations, Manufacturing, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Ecosystem (L10–L12)
• Design and scale the L10–L12 partner network (CMs, ODMs, integrators, logistics, deployment teams) for rack and cluster-scale delivery including sourcing, selection and ongoing performance management.
• Drive partner/vendor contracts and lead the development and communication of supply chain responsibility requirements in all Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Serve as the primary point of contact for supply chain risk identification, escalation, and resolution across active vendor relationships.
Demand & Supply Planning
• Own the monthly demand forecast (SKU / configuration / customer); lead S&OP and drive forecast accuracy and bias improvements.
• Translate demand into executable build plans and rack integration schedules with Manufacturing and CMs; balance supply, inventory turns, and revenue attainment.
• Drive customer orders through fulfillment and commit ship dates against build availability and component readiness.
Material Management & Sourcing
• Lead material management across CMs, ODMs, and internal sites; resolve shortages and protect build commits.
• Drive alternate sourcing (AVL / AML qualification) with Commodity Management and Procurement to mitigate single-source and lead-time risk.
• Negotiate contractual material liability terms based on lead times (liability windows, flexibility, forecast-to-PO rules); quantify and report exposure monthly.
• Conduct BOM risk analysis for NPI and sustaining products; drive mitigation plans for long-lead, single-source, EOL, and high-liability components.
Service, RMA & Lifecycle
• Own planning for RMA flows and field replacement programs; ensure FRU availability and SLA attainment with the service organization.
• Manage NPI ramp planning, EOL transitions, and last-time buys to minimize E&O and stranded inventory.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Single planning point of contact for Sales (commits, lead times, fulfillment); align with Finance on revenue plans.
• Publish weekly / monthly planning dashboards; present plans and risks to BU leadership.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related; 5+ years in demand / supply / material planning, preferably in hardware, server, or data center.
• Strong S&OP / IBP knowledge; BOM structures and CM / ODM manufacturing flow.
• Experience with alternate sourcing and material liability negotiation.
• Proficiency with planning systems (SAP IBP, Oracle, Kinaxis, o9, Anaplan, or equivalent); advanced Excel.
Preferred: CTO / BTO server or rack-scale planning; L10–L12 integration and RMA operations; hyperscaler or AI/ML infrastructure customer dynamics; APICS CPIM / CSCP; MBA.
Key Performance Indicators
Forecast accuracy & bias • Build plan attainment • Ship-date commit accuracy • Inventory turns & E&O • Material liability exposure • BOM risk closure • FRU SLA attainment • RMA turnaround • L10–L12 on-time to customer-ready • Revenue attainment vs. plan
